[39] Pacquiao and the others' The Impossible Dream

[39]

Pacquiao and the others' The Impossible Dream

I know that having high aims in life is practical, unless you're not a human being. I would not mind President Gloria hoping, rather wishing, to have her height doubled the next morning, or Tuition Fee Increase in UP come to an abrupt destruction in one swish of a magic wand. It's totally not bad to be that ambitious, right?

Enter Manny Pacquiao and the others, hall of famer politician-wannabes,who are the same people I would better incinerate than watching them in public television yelling their platforms accompanied by these [ear-splitting/grating/coma-inducing] novelty songs. Jesus Christ!

Days ago, Fuckman affirmed his candidacy for congressman in his place, Gen. Santos perhaps. I surveyed many people who can almost throw up. "Anong gagawin nya dun? Susuntok-suntok?" These kinds of people must stick to the fields they are exclusively strong in, says Steph. In Unang Hirit, he was interviewed via phone patch and when asked, what to do in case [in any dreadful calamitous case] he wins as well, a congressman, he replies, "I'll be the bridge between the people in my place and in Manila. I'll probably implement many projects that will pursue education. *blah blah blah*" Grrrr. Of course, he's gonna be the BRIDGE--it's the congressmen's JOB! And wait, education??? One who hasn't even graduated [or has he??] knows something of these laws, and other forms of political science???

Many tapings had Richard Gomez missed as the time nears for the national elections. God have mercy on Him! Another actor who tries to make a fool out of himself again is following the trails of Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla, Tito Sotto and of course Erap, the supposedly phenomenon. My tita said, "Ang tanga lang ang boboto diyan!" I willingly agree. In the first place, the tradition here in the country is that stardom is a stepping stone to politics. I can't imagine Jessica Zafra maiming the moment she first heard that the hunk of her generation would enter the disgusting world of politics! Laugh!

Like Gomez who allegedly won a slot in the Administration party, Tito Sotto settles with them too. I am confused that these formerly Opposition people now would dance on the other side of the floor. Lito Lapid, on the other hand, is also unacceptable. One who is not not not not [that's quadruple negative] fluent in English has become a senator years ago. I know that English is not the best criterion for someone to be a politician, but hey, it's reality, and English whether he likes it or not, whether English likes him or not, he must achieve it.

So much for it, my blockmate Amae could perform a decade of meditation in Greenland just to kick Bong Revilla in the Senate House. As in ...she hates him! I can't blame her, it's politics.

So who is to blame then? I would point my middle finger to the politicians who graduated from fine universities with flying colors and stuff. When people see that they are no longer effective as that of actors/actresses who actually entertain with much less effort, they tend to choose the side of the latter who are rather believable and found to be credible, not to mention charismatic. It's a collision of the dignity of the person and in there, develops trust. Bird-brained humans tell that UP is indeed the breeding grounds for corrupt politicians, for cleverness is everywhere. Duhrrr. It just depends on the person, you guys. When you generalize, do some review of related literature. You are so narrow-minded[is that the English term for makitid and utak??]. Ehem ehem Raul Gonzales. I am afraid I'm stil 16 and cannot vote. Meaning, I am of no responsibility when then again, actors would have the limelight. Please naman oh, tama na.

These coming months, Meralco bills will deplete as the domestic people would rather do endless yoga sessions than opening the TV and watching those ugly freaks. That's more like it.

Vote wisely people.
