[86] As I Like It

As I Like It
(from clickthecity.com)

Having Saturday classes has its perks.

Quarter before3pm a man in semi-formal attire enters and announces that Dulaang UP's "As You Like It" Filipino version will open in 15 minutes for FREE in Wilfredo Guerrero Hall blah blah! We begged in berserk to Sir Deza to let us go, ignoring absurdly the day's next group reporters. Ack, after some negotiations (we've just hurt heir feelings) with them--

SIR: I'll only let you go if you can guess who the original writer of the play is.

COMM 100 CLASS: William Shakespeare! (exodus to AS).

It's my second time to watch it (I watched the English version more than a week ago) and I'm beginning to have a crush on the female lead having the role Rosalind making me remark:

"My dear Rosalind, I loved thou. Please leave not thee and stay for the rest of eternity!" Hah! Baliw!

[85] Say No to Stress

[85]

Say Yes No to Stress

See how The Divine helped my pressure flee away from my worn out soul:

Last Friday, UP MCO and the CMC Student Council collaborated to have this Stress Management Program for students especially for the (umm, stressed?) freshmen.

Last Saturday, our Speech Comm professor required us to watch William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” in Guerrero Theatre, UP-D. The play was indescribable— I glued my ass on the cozy seat!

Last Sunday, we had our Art Studies field trip in Tagaytay. Specifics— we had a quasi-recollection/retreat in Brahma Kumaris: a soporific place I loved.

And of course, yesterday our Team Building in MCO finally took place. Photos here in Ate Bev's.

Details coming soon.

[83] Write, Speak, It's BJ!

Write, Speak, It's BJ!

The UP Mass Communicators’ Organization had its ACLE yesterday. The learning experience will reconcile the matters in having this pioneering common elective in CMC— Broadcast Journalism/ BJ 101. Aside from Ma’am Khan and Sir Austria as the speakers, a video of Gawad Plaridel 2007 awardee Che-che Lazaro’s comments on having this subject especially for Broadcast Communication and Journalism majors was viewed.

*Yep, I met Ma’am Che-che in our interview with her along with Ate Ynna and Kuya
Ely. She’s very intelligent, believe me. Kuya Ely covered almost the entire interview, and I was the last to ask. I was, umm, nahihiya.

******************************

Speakig of, last last Tuesday our individual TV reports/stand-uppers in Journ101 were finally shown in class.

I refrained being edgy (like block-mates Anne and Judy below) so that my self-destruction mechanism in my anatomy won’t give in and turn my non-burly body into pieces. And then our professor enters and she was so nice that I felt I was the most impudent person in the entire universe. (It’s just that we weren’t used to this.) She then handed a lavender-colored bill and told us to buy ourselves a cup of coffee in the neighboring cafeteria to our room. Then she said she’ll come back for a couple of minutes. Our whole class went nuts.

Journ101 groupmates

So much for the ‘sudden’ fun. When it was my turn to view my TV report, I was jittery. It could have been so-so if it weren’t for the sound. I want to congratulate the videoMAC (no, it’s not a videoCAM, it was a videoMAChine!) we borrowed from the Journ dept, for ruining my evaluation. Yes, I am sarcastic with that. Tell me you prosperous alumni of Journ dept (in UP), when will you ever realize that your former Alma mater needs development in its facilities.

tadaaa! the VideoMAC!

My spleen went to a high when one of my classmates dubbed his. Grrr.
